Since 1976, Dyno Records has been Newburyport’s home for jazz, blues, rock, soul, classical and folk musics of the world.

When you visit, you’ll find a sizeable, ever-changing selection of new and used vinyl and CDs. And in addition to new weekly titles, we are happy to take special orders and pre-orders of upcoming releases.

We stock turntables, vinyl maintenance accessories and practical supplies for musicians including strings, reeds, capos, tuners, drumsticks and more. You’ll also find DVDs, posters, musical tchotchkes and even cassettes.

Divorced? Downsizing? Done? Don’t toss those LPs — sell your records to Dyno. We pay cash for your vinyl collection.

We’re interested in blues, jazz, rock and roll, bluegrass, rockabilly, New Orleans, rap, funk, new wave/alternative, electronic, punk and soul. 1960’s – present day.

Sorry, we don’t take 45’s, cassettes, DVDs, 78’s, kid’s music, comedy, spoken word, classical, showtunes, big band, marching band, 50’s music ala doo-wop, Time-Life style compilations, easy listening such as Dn Folgelberg, Bread, Lawrence Welk, Anne Murray, Barbara Streisand, etc.

LP’s must be retail sell-able: no scratches, warps, tears, writing, moisture exposure, filmy appearance, mildew, pet or smoke smell. PLEASE DO NOT BRING LP’s OR CD’s TO THE STORE WITHOUT CONTACTING US FIRST. Give a call (978-462-9630) or email (music@dynorecords.com) photos of the LP or CD spines so we can start the discussion.
